The Rundown: Hellboy is called in to help find a missing professor.
Hellboy comes to England after being called by the assistant of Professor Harvey. After discovering that he is missing, Hellboy inspects the package he received right before it happened. After looking at the statue he received, Hellboy finds himself pulled from his body and transported to a mysterious island where he discovers not only that the professor is there, but that there are ancient creatures everywhere and bodies who warn him to leave.
Hellboy goes looking for the professor and finds him at the feet of a beautiful and dangerous entity who not only wants him to stay, but who requires his worship and life.
The Story: Mignola delivers a fun, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I love the world of Hellboy and this story is a great adventure for the character with elements of eldritch horror, humor and more. The action in the story is fantastic and every element works to make me want more adventures from this character.
The Art: Manunta delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visuals, the style and the character designs are amazing.
